Day 5: Business & Economy

• Pray for those who contribute to the economy of our nation, among others policymakers in government and business, that they be shielded from greed and corruption so that they can legislate policies that will result in the equitable distribution of wealth among the citizenry. Pray for honorable people among them who promote the common good versus self-interest.

• Pray that business people will have a stronger sense of social responsibility. Pray for more business people who adhere to higher ethical standards that promote the safety of workers and better care of the environment, who can help combat the social injustices in our nation.

• Pray that business owners will also promote creation care and not abuse God-given resources in pursuit of profit and development.

• Pray that for LGUs and Government Offices such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-ibig that they their processes will be efficient and seamless so that transactions with them will be fast, smooth, and not cumbersome for individuals and companies who transact with these agencies.

• Pray that more work opportunities will become available in the country so that Filipinos will not have to leave their families behind just to provide for their basic needs.

• Pray for workers who spend countless hours daily to commute to their places of work and back home. Pray that public transportation will be more convenient and efficient for the working and riding public.

• Pray that more business owners and leaders will have a personal relationship with God and see themselves as stewards who are God’s conduit to provide growth and better lives to their employees.
